@cehwitham @BBCNews I hope you see that we do take #a11y very seriously (check out the animation toggle, no JavaScript experience and correct alt tags) but sometimes we slip up. Not an excuse, but we'll try to do better! And we're always open to feedback on how to improve :)

@cehwitham @BBCNews Hi there! Not sure how we missed this but looks like the image source was being added into the alt text - an error in the code, we've fixed that as of yesterday morning thanks to you pointing it out. Sorry that it got published like that!

Accessibility matters. @BBCNews of the 53 images on this article, 41 don't have appropriate alt text. Worse still, the alt text contains a long link which doesn't help add context but frustrates screen readers. bbc.co.uk/news/resources… #A11y #a11yfails
