Russ Burroughs is back to lead the Wilmington Sharks for Season 6. The all-time winningest coach in Sharks history, Burroughs guided the team to the 2024 CPL Championship and 2 Eastern Division titles. Over 50 players have signed pro contracts, continuing a legacy of excellence

2025 has come to a close. This was, without a doubt, the most emotionally challenging season I’ve ever had as a coach. There were moments that tested everything—my patience, my heart, and my belief in what we were building. But through all the highs and lows, this group never gave up. We made the playoffs for the third consecutive season, but more importantly, we grew into something bigger than just a baseball team. We became a family. Wilmington… it’s not just a name across my chest. It’s a part of me. It’s home. It’s the people, the grind, the heart, and the pride that comes with wearing it every day.
