Had dinner with friends in Islington last night. They are furious about the #LTNs and so apparently is the whole street.

Not being pedantic here, but the NHS wasn’t even created until after the war, so I’m not sure it needed ‘rebuilding’. And neither did the Underground, which for obvious reasons was pretty well protected from bombs!

I am proud that my parents were part of the Windrush generation. They came to Britain to help rebuild our NHS, the underground and so much more after the Second World War. Fantastic that @SadiqKhan has today announced The Windrush Line. We owe them so much.
