@MonMatharu Places like Oxford deserve to fail if they elect people who aren’t willing to make the place better. So many NIMBYs. So much wasted effort trying to expand. Just let towns like this die

Oxford residents must elect more Councillors who will put community first and kick out the dictators who are forcing LTNs etc knowing fully well the harm they are doing to individuals and businesses

This guy is standing as an Independent in St Clement's for 2 May City Council elections. Not only does he mention businesses on his leaflet, he's already been to visit some of them in St Clement's to find out their issues. Current Lab councillors nowhere to be seen for years.

@shireenchilcott @eastoxbusiness How does he care about the local community when he doesn’t support the idea of a 15 minute city: liveable neighbourhood? He wants people to drive out of their communities and spend money out of town with the big corporate chains.

Today, I set out my plan for the Tees Valley. My plan to deliver for people from every corner of our region. I'll breathe life back into our town centres by introducing free parking across our region.

This is how to protest, a great family day out with an important message to Sadiq Khan and TFL. Listen to the electorate. 80% of people were against expanding ULEZ. #BigginHill #protest #ULEZ

@PaulWri89662714 @martynbolt @keane_duncan yes. Should've let the car back in. No wonder car drivers hate these Pelotons. Cyclist accelerating to ensure there isnt a gap. Theyre just as bad as the driver.

Had dinner with friends in Islington last night. They are furious about the #LTNs and so apparently is the whole street. They had a list of negatives consequences and have even hired their own traffic expert. But the council is not listening @IslingtonBC @islingtongztte

People are sleepwalking into a disaster with Labour. Tories need to relentlessly focus on the economy, illegal immigration and the NHS, whilst cutting taxes. A plan takes time to see full delivery. Labour have no plan, just higher taxes and a destruction of British culture.

@LozzaFox Far too much money is wasted on London. It should not be the capital. You lot in your rich elite southern bubble can’t see that. Time to move the capital to Birmingham or Manchester and just let London be a world city like New York.

Another Saturday. Another far off war being protested by people who care more about there than here. London is not a British city in any discernible or recognisable way. It’s a place people who have no investment in British culture suck our welfare system dry and use our streets as a forum to proselytise about foreign fights. And to the fawning white liberals who think this doesn’t affect them, a reminder. You kids will grow up in the country you surrendered in order not to rock the boat. They will have to deal with this mess. And they will not remember you fondly for it. Great Britain is a badly run airport hotel for the ideologically jet lagged of the world. Thanks @Conservatives You grievously bodily harmed our nation. Now we get to sit back and watch @UKLabour finish the job. When do we say, “Enough!”
Metropolitan Police@metpoliceuk

🧵 | Around 1,500 officers will be on public order policing duties in London tomorrow, including many from other forces. A significant number will be ensuring a protest march organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign takes place safely and that any offences are dealt with.

Not being pedantic here, but the NHS wasn’t even created until after the war, so I’m not sure it needed ‘rebuilding’. And neither did the Underground, which for obvious reasons was pretty well protected from bombs!
David Lammy@DavidLammy

I am proud that my parents were part of the Windrush generation. They came to Britain to help rebuild our NHS, the underground and so much more after the Second World War. Fantastic that @SadiqKhan has today announced The Windrush Line. We owe them so much.
