But now that the United States cannot provide security for rich Arab countries such as Qatar, Dubai and others, they are even more useless in Europe.

As US military Aircraft are forced to "fly around" European airspace to Iran- What would those European countries (and NATO Allies") do exactly, if the Americans just flew over them anyway? Think about it.

Well those opinions are how many Americans see when they see the current state of Europe. And we have seen the arrests and the news headlines and the laws and the videos. I personally have heard many people in Europe who don’t feel the same as you do. Many of your fellow Europeans as well as Americans think something is wrong with the current state of free speech, censorship, and democratic representation in Europe. To say that it’s all “Russian propaganda” basically dismisses their experience and insults their intelligence. I don’t think we can have an honest conversation. Enjoy your life and Godspeed. No, I stated that there is a narrative being pushed to drive a wedge between America and Europe. I tried to be civil and attempted to offer the POV of many Americans without completely dismissing your own. I attempted to show I wasn’t necessarily against your views. Based on your two replies, it would seem that I failed and it seems you generally dismiss everything I said about Americans views and went back to insulting US leaders and focusing on yourself. So basically calling all those American views wrong and basically confirming how many of them currently feel about Europe. Your mind is made up, so you don’t care, but the truth is, Europe has benefited much more from America than the other way around and will be hurt much more by a decline in relations. Luckily the two are basically economically inseparable at this point, so this debate is likely a bunch of political horse shit… But whatever happens, a world without America as your ally is bad for your country. What is stopping humanity from living peacefully together?

For decades, many Americans have heard that Europeans look down on America and Americans. I say this as someone who firmly believes the US and Europe should remain strong allies. However, you should know that a growing number of Americans now feel our country is unappreciated and that our relationship with Europe has become one-sided and see less benefit in it. That said, if all you’ve heard for the past year is “insults, threats, and disinformation” coming from America, I would strongly encourage you to be cautious about your sources of information. Someone likely has an interest in ensuring that you (and much of Europe) hear a particular narrative and form a negative view of America. Many of the things I hear Europeans say about the U.S. are simply not true or are greatly exaggerated. I can’t help but wonder who benefits from you thinking this way. In my view, there are actors who would clearly benefit from a weakened transatlantic relationship, but Europe is not one of them.

But for 1 year all we heard is insults, threats and blatant disinformation coming from the US administration. So fucking go. We’ll be fine. You’ll project that military power from home.

The UK and much of Europe are slipping into a post-democratic authoritarian surveillance state - one that punishes its native-born population while rewarding foreign criminals.
