@camibrown1984 From elegant I’ve heard, yes. As a recovering alcoholic I feel like my sources are strong here.

What’s going on in College Station?

@dallassportsguy @NotJackKemp @iamelf In general, if one is not Jewish they are likely best served by refraining from assigning labels to Jewish people.
Right?

@NotJackKemp As opposed to "fake Jews", I guess. Ridiculous. @iamelf

number one scene ruiners in the land. fuck, dude, yes, i know i'm white, leave me alone

There were hundreds of "Black Hebrew Israelites" on 6th Street this evening, letting the SXSW crowd know they're the "real" Jews.

@NotJackKemp The idea of Gordon doing mush mouth with black Israelites heckling him is funny to me
English

@DanielWoodward @NotJackKemp It feels like 99% of people who are in the market of pointing out problems would react the same way.
It’s no wonder why the idea of compromise is foreign to most. Our primary export of anger/fear is endangered by the thought of progress.
English

@NotJackKemp I talked to some in Hollywood like 15 years ago and said “Alright, I agree with you, what should we do now?” and they looked at me like they hadn’t ever got that far before. Doesn’t seem to have an end game, just anger for the sake of being angry.

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline There’s a block button for a reason, lol! But I genuinely wish you well in life. ✌️❤️

A lot of Texans of all races proudly said, “I’m voting for Jasmine Crockett.” It mattered. In the end, Texans chose Talarico, and she will support the nominee. She said it herself.
That said, this Texas primary is one I will never forget, even though I’d like to.
Strip away the spin and one thing is clear: too many people still treat White as a qualification.

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline And to directly answer your point, of course I’m going to address race when someone talks about it freely, lol! I have not once nor do I claim that a person’s race dictates how they act or think. You talk openly about race, so it’s counterproductive to use that as a shield.
English

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline In general, if someone accuses someone that they don’t know of something while twisting what they say to fit their narrative, that person is not open to seeing things outside of their narrow worldview. That phenomenon is universal.
English

@christaforcola @Steadyspirit @cwebbonline Thank you for your service! I don’t expect t anyone to do anything because I share an opinion. Even if it calls out the hypocrisy of that person’s stance.
English

@SNUtilityMan @Steadyspirit @cwebbonline Black folks will not allow white men to play both sides and then expect black folks to join in on hypocrisy, NO!
English

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline I said “most white Democrat voters” abandoned that voting habit. If you’re going to quote me be honest about it. Maybe the person hung up on identity politics in this conversation isn’t the white Southern dude. 🤷♂️
English

@SNUtilityMan @christaforcola @cwebbonline You said white voters in the south “long abandoned” candidates that look like them, implying that Black voters still choose based on color. You know what you were implying. Let’s not play this game.
English

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline You’re simply seeing what you want in that statement. I was intentionally calling out white voters who only voted for white candidates.
English

@SNUtilityMan @christaforcola @cwebbonline “white Democrat voters in this state long abandoned viewing selecting a candidate simply because they look like us.”
You lost me here. I didn’t read further after this. The assumption that we support Crockett because she’s Black is insulting.
English

@mavsmarie The correct answer by the Democrat establishment in Washington is
"We believe it is not up to us to wade in with an opinon. This is up to Texan Republicans to decide, and we are confidant that Talarico can beat either one"
English

but some of you were telling me it’s game over for Talarico if Cornyn is endorsed!
I drove through Lubbock Tx over the weekend and saw a few billboards AGAINST John Cornyn. Lubbock is majority red.
John Cornyn is just as much disliked these days as Ken Paxton.
Max Cohen@maxpcohen
News: A PPP poll commissioned by Senate Majority PAC found "no meaningful difference in electability” between Cornyn and Paxton in a matchup vs Talarico. Talarico 44, Cornyn 43 Talarico 47, Paxton 45 Poll of 576 Texas voters from 3/4-3/5, MOE +/-4.1%.
English

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline …he’ll lose. No doubt. I sincerely hope that he is given a chance to win back a y Crockett supporter who is upset. That’s up to them.
My point about those outside of Texas now wishing us failure is that that was likely how y’all have thought all along. We’re used to it. Sadly.
English

@Steadyspirit @christaforcola @cwebbonline …level vs Crockett at the national level.
I like her and admire her ability to fight passionately in the House. I don’t believe that was going to influence enough people in West Texas to give her the 2-3% swing needed to win.
If black Texans sit this election out, then…
