Crazy idea that will definitely not happen ever, but hear me out.
OOT Remake DLC, playable Ganondorf, set immediately after he enters the Sacred Realm.
He gets the Triforce, The Dark World is formed, and goes to the temple equivalents, whose bosses are the original sages.

Not official, but one of the coolest fan projects I have ever seen: Ura Zelda (same name as an official planned and cancelled expansion for Ocarina of Time, which fans decided to revive conceptually) It wont happen, but could you imagine if we saw the Dark World in the remake?

@MightyGazelle1 So while Skull Kid with Majora amplified his childish traits, becoming more like a prankster with the end-goal of destroying the world, I feel like Ganondorf’s willpower would warp Majora’s goal to be one of world domination instead.

@AnUnabashedNerd I heavily disagree, Zack was more affected by the events of the game. Sephiroth cared too, don’t get me wrong, but the idea of “SOLDIER’s ideals VS their institution” is something that directly relates to Zack and his sacrifice. His popularity shows that it was the right choice.

Sephiroth should’ve been the protagonist of Crisis Core. He had the more interesting story and arc. Zack works well as our viewpoint protagonist but I honestly think Sephiroth would’ve been a better pick as he was more deeply affected by the events in that game

@ZeldaLoreYT The timeline is official, not at all up for interpretation. Not just Historia, not just Encyclopedia, but the official Zelda website perpetuates it. Downplaying something’s canonicity because of your grievances, whether founded grievances or not, doesn’t help anyone.

Something I genuinely dread is the Ocarina of Time remake remotely attempting to do a "bad ending" scenario and accrediting the "downfall timeline"
I consider that idea one of the greatest mistakes of the series. Fortunately the timeline is always left up to interpretation

I made this comparison table to illustrate why I disagree so heavily with the "Downfall Timeline" split first shown in Hyrule Historia. They actively ommited and changed established information to fit in an idea unsupported by the games.

He is not a Stalfos. Compare him to the designs of the Stalfos in the game, or even the skeletal knights in Stallord’s boss fight, and he differs completely.
Instead, considering he’s literally the Hero’s SPIRIT, who resembles the graveyard spirits, he’s simply an undead ghost.

@lightenlam @ZxckFair_ Zack's struggle with Genesis points this out directly. He constantly fights the notion that Soldier are monsters, because he sees the same ideals as Angeal. But he admits to Cloud that the truth of Soldier is a den of monsters. That's why he leaves Shinra, but keeps the ideals.

Honor, hopes, dreams, heroism, all of these are things Angeal saw as the IDEALS of Soldier. Your issue is the EXACT dilemma he was having, which is that the institution itself was rotten.

@lightenlam @ZxckFair_ I think Angeal’s whole character is quite literally that his ideal of SOLDIER, and what he wants it to represent, is conflicting with the truth of the SOLDIER institution, which are—as he puts it—monsters.
The ideal of hopes and dreams are glorified, not Shinra’s military.

But the trailer didn’t ruin anything about the lore, it’s all misplaced criticism for the sake of criticism. Very excited for the game!
