a pure misplacement of priorities
the attention they seek can only be gotten when they commute their intentions properly
rented attention is a waste of time and resources.
and another thing about these founders is.. they think their product is for everyone that's why "try" to look impressive and flashy to build credibility
and there's much more to focus on as you've mentioned
they should also focus on narrative density and conviction distribution
we learn everyday and can do better :)

unpopular opinion: the fastest way to waste money as a CTNG founder is paying for a gold badge every month. - it doesn’t close deals. - it doesn’t build trust. - it doesn’t grow your startup. - it just looks expensive on a timeline nobody takes seriously. ship a product instead. get your first 10 users gold badge can wait.
