Rep. Eric Burlison on 46 UFO Videos: "I have seen a metallic ORB that is in clear imagery" 🛸😱 “We want the American people to see these videos. The American people deserve to know.” He reveals clear imagery of a metallic silver orb the size of a beach ball plus “Immediate acceleration that defies normal propulsion or physics that we know of.” What do you think these objects are? Will these releases finally change everything? Drop your thoughts below.

Everybody just ADORES this film, so I've felt lonesome. I had many problems with it, chief among them being that Rocky is MUCH too human and fuzzy-wuzzy. A being from another star system would come at us with a strangeness, a deep otherness, that would make genuine communion a fascinating uphill climb. Instead, Rocky's thinking and communication maps onto English perfectly word-for-word, and all of his motivations and values also perfectly align. Extremely simplistic, sappy, and emotionally. So much more powerful if the relationship were forged across a genuine epistemic divide. The hard-won points of contact would then pack a far greater punch than this mind meld with an entity just exactly and facilely like us except for being rock-based instead of water-based. Lazy concept and storytelling.

@SasquatchTime Yes. They never expected the object landed, and the audio being distorted is because the person wanting to record didn't want to be known and still doesn't.

Thanks for the breakdown on the timeline and manufacturing marks — that's a fair critique of the doc's presentation. The 1966 date alone doesn't prove pre-1967 shooting if it's just stock from that year. But the biggest weight for me (and I think a lot of us) shifting stance isn't just the reel — it's that key figures like Dr. Jeff Meldrum (who built so much of the film's scientific credibility with his gait/morphology work) and Patricia Patterson + Clint Patterson have reacted in ways that suggest they see staging as the simpler explanation now. When the people who gave it the most authentic backing step back or express doubt, that's hard to ignore. So genuine question: What's the next step to verify your claim that the reel was shot post-1967 (and is just a replica attempt)? Independent film forensics on the reel itself? Expert review of the edge codes vs. development process? Or a counter-doc scrutinizing Capturing Bigfoot's timeline and sources? We shouldn't take one side at face value — either the new doc or the rebuttal. Needs more eyes on it. Appreciate your take — curious how you'd push for deeper investigation here.

The trickery of this new documentary was getting some unsuspecting people to believe this newly discovered film reel was “made” prior to 1967, before the Bluff Creek footage was obtained, rather than what it really is — footage of a goofy looking replica of the Patterson creature made subsequent to 1967. Their evidence is markings showing the film stock was manufactured in 1966. Those are Kodachrome manufacturing marks, not marks from the development process. But when the director was able to persuade some trusting people like Jeff Meldrum and Patricia Patterson of his timeline before showing them the reel, he could get stunned and emotional reactions from them. Whereas if they knew the reel might have been shot after 1967 … they would have rightfully said it is irrelevant. They would have seen it as a janky attempt to replicate the Patterson creature after the fact. But no …

I haven’t seen this new film yet but Matt’s arguments make sense to me. Plenty of documentaries use mock-ups for recreations.

It was known at the time, and since that time in the late 1960's that Roger Patterson was trying to make a documentary about the Bigfoot/Sasquatch mystery when he and Bob Gimlin obtained their famous footage in 1967. They were from Washington State. The famous 1967 Patterson footage was shot in northern California. Most of the other stock footage was shot in Washington State. As with EVERY OTHER documentary and TV show about the Bigfoot subject, Roger's wanted to dramatize some bigfoot encounters using a man in cheap costume. His wife Patricia recalls the use of a cheap costume for this purpose. The "long lost reel" that is being touted by these sleazy producers at South by Southwest is just footage of them using this costume which bigfoot researchers have known about for years. What this reel shows is obviously a cheap ape costume -- nothing like the actual creature they got on camera in California. Because of that stark difference these sleazy producers are trying to spin this cheap costume for dramatizations as a "trial run" for the eventual 1967 costume. The simple fact that no one has ever been able to duplicate the "costume" from the 1967 footage, with all its anatomical peculiarites and massive size, has shown sensible people for more than 50 years that it is not a costume. There have been several well funded and well staffed attempts to similate what you see in the footage. All of those efforts failed quite clearly. National Geographic at one time touted the bogus Hieronymous costume story (he claims he was the man in the costume), then years later aired an episode where the footage was examined with the most modern techniques and computer enhancement and measurement analysis. That subsequent Nat Geo program revealed a foot anatomy on the Patterson creature that is plainly impossible to fake with a man in a costume. This latest film festival entry called "Capturing Bigfoot" is just one more ploy in a long parade of sleazy deceptive productions since the 1990's that have repeated and repackaged long-debunked claims because the ploy will still get some cultural traction, riding on the enduring popularity of the bigfoot mystery. It is just a cinematic form of clickbait.
