So many exciting proposals from @lambeth_council as to how to make the now permanent Oval to Stockwell #LTN work even better for all! At first glance they look amazing. It's consultation time so please send your feedback via ovalltnproposals.commonplace.is

Interesting details in here about attempted manipulation of last autumn's consultations on the Oval & Railton #LTNs "..blatant efforts to stop the council from really hearing people’s views by swamping the consultations with over 1,800 fake responses." lambeth-labour.org.uk/2022/01/05/lam…

For my own area of Lambeth, a massive 58% of households have no cars or vans. Since 2001, the number of such households has increased by half. When petrolheads attack LTNs and clean air zones, remember: they are a declining minority. That's why anti-LTN campaigners do so badly.

Nationally, car ownership in England & Wales continues to rise - and no-car households to fall in number. But while only 23% of households are no-car nationally, that jumps to 42% in London (with Lambeth at 58% and Islington a whopping 67%.

Short thread: The 2021 Census data on car/van availability by household in England & Wales is finally out. Good news: Lambeth (my area) and London continue significantly to buck a national trend of falls in no-car households. ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulati…)

If you think people with bike cameras go out looking for people breaking the law, don't worry, we don't have to look, it's just too hard to miss. This is a collection of 5 of the worst from one single 30 min commute, featuring @RailtonLTN.

Ventured outside Lambeth to the outskirts of London where everyone drives everywhere. Hardly anyone walking or travelling by bike because the roads are so hostile. Came back to Railton road and there were so many people walking and cycling. Beautiful.

An interesting journey into central London and home. Love all the segregated bike lanes, @SaveOvalStreets @RailtonLTN were brilliant. Is cycling through Trafalgar Square and down Brixton road always slightly terrifying? Did see the Changing of the Guard and Big Ben.
