I especially like how Assaulter and Demolitions are clearly two pallet swaps rigged on the same model, I can totally see the game manual saying they're identical twins to handwave it away, maybe different gendered generic grunts too

Another game concept I've been thinking is a post-apocalyptic setting with a positive theme where people have started rebuilding the world. Inspiration comes from Metal Slug, Sentinel Girls and Arknights, so it'd be a 2D action. Won't be as big in adjacent art as Exit the Dragon.

@Setzeri I mean, it is more than doable...
The biggest part would be making all the assets and then decide how much you want to have story and how to convey it or is it more like Metal Slug in that sense too where the story telling is more environmental

@TiredThunder That series is the biggest inspiration. Playing them today baffles my mind how they managed to do such tight and visually beautiful games with a small dev team back in the 90's.
