If I can offer anything to beginner artists, it's this:
Do not mistake art principles for art rules. They're not rules.
They're things you should *know*, but not things you should rigidly stick to or your art will be bad.
Learn the idea so you can break it.

Honestly so true. Once you have your basic art principles down, go nuts. There aren't rules, only foundational ideas that you can use as a base to jump into making *whatever you like* *Knowing* the foundation is important, so you can break it!
