My son is having open heart surgery right now. Getting him ready for this and taking him back to the OR is one of the hardest things I have ever done.

@DrJenGunter I had open heart surgery at 18mo for a very rare constellation of congenital heart defects. It deeply affects my relationship with medicine and care for patients. Heart kids unite. Wishing him a peaceful recovery 🫶🏻 your strength (and the strength my mom has maintained) inspires.

Telling someone to use a vaginal moisturizer first line for vaginal dryness in menopause is like telling someone to use aloe vera first line for a sunburn. You aren't preventing the problem that leads to the symptoms. Vaginal estrogen is the sunscreen. Prevent the burn.
