#Fandom🤓 When I have to explain that-- no one wants to see their heroes old, broken down, declining, inept, losing powers, grizzled, angry, grumpy, cussin', with a bland/neutral color palette and out of costume... ...when superheroes are supposed to be in their prime, strong, continually mastering their abilities, optimistic, inspirational, courageous, hopeful, sacrificial, with brightly colored costumes, because that's what superheroes have (for the most part) always been.... --that's a clear indication of how far our culture has fallen.

Let’s be honest, Kelly has more charisma in his first onscreen role than Brandon has managed to muster in any project he’s been in. Hence why he’s captured many hearts and minds.

@omarchyos One note? You wouldn’t know your ass from your elbow. Kelly has been in one project and looks like a lost puppy. Sklenar is a star on the rise with multiple hit films and a massively versatile actor. Be serious.

Someone that worked with him and watched the show expecting to crap all over it said his performance is one of the highlights and he captures John extremely well.

@ShatterverseEnt @ultimatewayne @Sattvik007 I know, I watched a lot of these. I just have no idea, how well the script will translate to cinema. The story is good, great main character w. family plus lots of good action. Sklenar has played a very similar character in 1923, no wonder Sheridan wanted him for this project.

What I love the most about Brandon Sklenar is that he isn’t a one trick pony and is capable of great range, his role in Mapplethrope demonstrates how far he is willing to transform himself, he completely sells the Boston accent and is almost unrecognizable

@darkdefective You shouldn’t start by saying “let’s be honest” and then following up with a bunch of BS. It’s disingenuous. Sklenar runs circles around that lost puppy in the acting department.

@LouieFre74833 @ultimatewayne @Sattvik007 It’s memorable. Taylor Sheridan wrote Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River, and a bunch of shows like Yellowstone, Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, etc. he’s a strong writer.
