This means 1) Having the international vessels agree to being escorted by US navy which is high risk 2) Navigating the hormuz without triggering the uncleared mines. 3) Hoping Iran does not retaliate and allows safe passage without warfare or tolls. Meaning this looks like a set up for the US to escalate tensions under the cover or humanitarian aid and self defense from any Iran attacks in the strait. Iran is forced to make a decision that either admits defeat and gives up their edge (let US guide ships through peacefully) Or continuing to fight for their faith, defend their edge and combat against US/ Israel. We have already seen Iran do things that were "unexpected" to most in this war such as drone warfare to Arab neighbours and US linked energy. Share your thoughts.
