HPI: This is an 18-year-old male who sustained a right shoulder dislocation during a football game on 11/2018. He subsequently had a repeat dislocation in his sleep one week later, which was reduced in the ER. Since then, he has had approximately 7-9 instability events, none requiring formal reduction. He is a senior in high school and desires to play football as soon as he can, with plans to walk on in college. PMH: Past medical history significant for eczema and sickle cell trait. PE: On exam, the patient fires deltoid in all three planes. He has full PROM and full 5/5 RTC strength. There is positive subacromial tenderness, negative neer/Hawkins, and no TTP along the biceps tendon. He has a 2+ anterior load shift with guarding and a 1+ posterior load shift. There is pain but no apprehension in all degrees of abduction/ER. He has a negative Obrien’s test and normal resting scapular motion.
