We are in year 3 of Tyrone Taylor in a Mets uniform. Love the guy, but there’s no world where he should be getting starts over Ewing or Benge. Just because he bats right-handed does not mean he has to start vs. lefties.

People complain about the addition of Robert, but David Stearns honestly pulled off a steal. The asking price for Robert at the trade deadline was a mix of Vientos/Baty/Acuna + a top prospect. Waiting got Stearns his guy just for the price of Acuna… who would’ve provided nothing.

Vientos, Baty and even Alvarez could be moved at the deadline or off-season. They've reached the point where we know they're never going to be more than what they are and that's not good enough. Alvarez may get one more chance. I don't see it helping. He's just not that good.

I will always love Tyrone Taylor no matter what. This is a guy who is one of the best defensive centerfielders in all of baseball. While he isn’t great offensively, he truly does what he’s supposed to do when he’s asked to do it. Cannot hate TT.
