How quickly the tables turn,Mohsin Naqvi has suddenly become villain of the hour. Back when&still, under his watch, PTI and its supporters are being “persecuted” he was practically a hero to many. But apparently, all it takes is one apartment building for the halo to slip&pitchforks to come out. Fascinating how principles seem to appear only when they hit close to home

Lmao Dawn should be outlawed. Since a few yrs post 9/11, Dawn has been little more than an imperial mouthpiece. It is neither state aligned nor independent. Dawn is fully aligned w/ US imperialist narratives—including manufacturing consent for US regime change wars. Dawn criticized the Pakistani state for being pro-Gaddafi & pro-Assad as documented in the article below. It often calls the g*enocide in Gaza “Israel-H*amas war”. Usually a good piece from Dawn is an **opinion piece**. Everything else in the paper is generally fked when it comes to foreign affairs. And given that’s how Dawn is re: geopolitics, over my dead body would I trust Dawn on domestic politics. theindusroom.com/2025/08/01/daw…

My dear friend @hafizsaadriaz was abducted by the CTD a few days ago. After keeping him in illegal custody, an FIR was filed where it was alleged that he was an Al Qaeda member who was distributing banned literature in the hopes of recruiting people. In the FIR, it was alleged that he was arrested from a mosque but camera footage proves that false as saad was abducted from his house in the dead of the night. Despite the allegations being unfounded and frivolous, we observe a pattern of victim blaming in the online space so i have to mention that in the light of my personal interactions and Saad's publicly expressed rhetoric, it's evident that he thought of Al Qaeda as a terrorist organisation. Below, I'm attaching some of his publicly expressed views in regards to the mentioned banned organisation. Fabricating the location of abduction serves as enough proof for us to see how frivolous the case is. Saad's family and eon podcast (where he works) have expressed that now as the matter is in the court, they believe in the rule of law taking its course and justice to prevail. As Saad's family and organisation chose to go public with this news just now, this tweet has been made to inform you people and to play my part for a friend who has always been there for others. Saad Riaz has always fought the case of people from Kashmir to Gaza, from Afghanistan to Syria. He's an academic who uses his pen to support the oppressed and fight the war of the narratives against the empire. I would request all of you to please pray for him and his family.

Has anyone listened to Muhammad Ali Daisy's interview after the match? In my opinion, it was the finest interview by a local player in PSL. It was so funny and so emotional. He literally said that he was thankful to Hunain for salvaging the game after the disastrous over he bowled. In one of his interviews on social media, he said he has not achieved anything in life. I love people who just make themselves so remarkably grounded. It also shows their hunger. Refreshing to see a bit of honesty and humour.

BREAKING: The PM immediately halts the CDA from taking further action against Constitution One. Meanwhile, Bari Imam’s main markaz has turned to rubble, three mohallas entirely demolished and hundreds of shops razed—despite the stay order upheld by FCC on April 16.
