Four Afghan nationals found guilty of grooming and raping teenage girl in Bristol before fleeing UK in lorry Mehrab Safi 21 Awal Ahmadzai 19 Salman Habibkheil 19 and a 17 year old boy have been convicted at Bristol Crown Court of grooming and raping a 17 year old girl after plying her with cigarettes and alcohol at a property in the St Werburghs area last December. The victim was taken to the house on November 30th where she was raped over several hours by all four men with Safi also found guilty of human trafficking after the teenager was lured there via Snapchat following an initial meeting while she was Christmas shopping in Bristol. The three adult defendants fled the UK on December 3rd by hiding in the back of a lorry and were discovered by French police in Calais before being arrested upon their return to Britain with the 17 year old boy also convicted of rape. All four denied the charges but were found guilty after two days of jury deliberations with the court hearing how the victim was subjected to a prolonged ordeal that left her traumatised. The men will be sentenced on October 6 at Bristol Crown Court where they are expected to receive immediate custodial sentences for their roles in the grooming and rape of the teenager.
