We no longer live in the age of old ignorance, where people simply lacked information. We live in the age of new ignorance. Not empty minds, but corrupted ones, flooded with facts, half-truths, and weaponized lies. The danger today is not that people know nothing. It is that they are absolutely certain of things that are not true.

Whether you view that as disqualifying, irrelevant, or overblown by biased watchdogs depends on your priors. The raw data, however, is unambiguous.

By any quantitative measure from established fact-checking organizations, Trump lies or makes false/misleading claims) a lot. More than predecessors and contemporaries.

Politicians across parties stretch, omit, or misstate facts. It's part of the game. Trump's distinctive trait is the frequency, repetition, and scale, which fact-checkers say has normalized a higher tolerance for untruth in public discourse.

@WallStreetApes The case for data centers is straightforward. Modern economies cannot function without them. The more important an infrastructure becomes, the less acceptable it is to govern it through hype, tax incentives, secrecy, and crisis improvisation. x.com/StructSkeptic/…

The cloud was sold as weightless. Virtual. Clean. Frictionless. The AI boom just ended that lie. A data center is an industrial plant. It needs electricity, water, land, and political permission. Here's what that means.🧵

There is a question all of us should be asking Since 2020 - Over 3,000 data centers have been built in America - They’ll use 580+ TWh annually (12% of all US energy) - They’ll use 500+ billion gallons of water per year Where is Greta Thunberg? No outrage? No climate emergency?

@Pirat_Nation A data center is an industrial plant that converts electricity, water, chips, land, transmission lines, backup generators, concrete, steel, and political permission into computation. So, the phrase “data center” is too clean for what it describes. x.com/StructSkeptic/…

A court in Chile has allowed Amazon to build a new data center in Huechuraba near Santiago after local residents and environmental groups failed to stop the project. This forms part of Amazon’s plan to invest more than $4 billion in data centers across Chile. People were worried about high electricity and water use, plus new power lines that could affect the hills, but the project passed all environmental checks and any new power lines will be reviewed later. Amazon says the data center will use special designs to protect the environment. Chile is becoming a popular spot for big data centers because of its clean energy but buiding data centers are destroying the nature

Here’s the thing about the data centers that not enough people are talking about: They are being built on top of farmland. THEY ARE REPLACING OUR FOOD SUPPLY WITH MASS SURVEILLANCE CENTERS. Humans cannot survive without food or water. Two things data centers are taking away. So why are they doing this? Because the billionaire class knows AI is going to replace millions of human jobs so they are deliberately reducing our food supply. Their plan is to let millions of us die to usher in their AI techno-capitalist dystopia. That is why the fight against these data centers is an existential fight for humanity’s survival.

Communities are being asked to provide electricity, water, land, and tax subsidies. In exchange for benefits that are often temporary, limited to construction, or captured by shareholders elsewhere. That is not a technology debate. It is a distributional one.

@FoxNews This is concerning, particularly after the chatter about a dozen employees at a Dutch hospital may have been exposed to hantavirus. A prior hantavirus human-human transmission event has evidence of airborne transmission of Andes strain. x.com/StructSkeptic/…

This is a significant development and has the potential to change our assumptions about Hantavirus, in particular the Andes strain. The detailed investigation of a prior hantavirus human-human transmission event has evidence of airborne transmission of Andes strain.

JUST IN: One hantavirus cruise ship passenger being treated in Atlanta is now officially showing symptoms after the deadly outbreak on board. The other passenger being treated at Emory University Hospital is not yet showing any symptoms and is being monitored for hantavirus as a close contact. Emory University Hospital says both passengers arrived from the MV Hondius cruise ship following the outbreak at sea.
