18 years ago, I came to the US to pursue my dream of becoming a scientist. Last week marked a major milestone in this journey, as I accepted an Assistant Professor position at @UChicago, where I am thrilled to start my own research group in January 2025! (1/5)

@DrMvandenBrink We miss you Marcel. It was wonderful to have labs and offices next to each other on zrc 14 for the past decade and a half. I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor and colleague!

Today was the last day of my lab at Sloan Kettering after 25 years. I am grateful for all the opportunities, resources and colleagues at MSK . I have wonderful memories of all the talented scientists who joined my lab. But…the new lab at City of Hope is already in full swing!
