RHP CJ Gray is a big sleeper from the #Angels 25’ draft class. Dominant multi-sport athlete who just started pitching full-time. Look for him to shoot up prospect rankings this year.

@SundayHalos That’s what’s confusing, because the thought was the MLBPA wouldn’t allow them to reduce the value of the contract. But Perry makes it sound like that’s not the case.

@BeyondTheHalo Obviously they need a hitting coach. Just saying a more recent track record would inspire more confidence in younger players to listen and implement.

@SundayHalos They couldn’t not hire a hitting coach because O’Hoppe claimed he had too many voices in his ear. It’s up to O’Hoppe to figure out who to listen to.

As the Angels figure out how to replace Taylor Ward’s production the last three years (241/.323/.443 | 113 wRC+), my eyes are on Logan O’Hoppe and Christian Moore. I think both have the potential to match that production offensively. O’Hoppe going to Driveline is a good start.

I wouldn’t buy into the Okamoto hype. People are talking about him like he’s going to come over and win MVP’s when in reality he may be an average defender as a corner INF and he may hit 15 HR’s. I wouldn’t give him Bichette money. 4-5 for $75-$80M at most.
