We are a research lab @GarvanInstitute trying to unravel the complexities of human immunology. One gene at a time.

Excited to share our latest work published today in @NatImmunol! 🎉 Together with Taja Vatovec, we investigated how somatic CBL deficiency affects B cell development and function. nature.com/articles/s4159…

An international team, co-led by Garvan's Prof Stuart Tangye, has discovered that the protein CBL is crucial for B cell development, shedding light on immune function and why some people are more prone to infections. Published today in Nature Immunology: ow.ly/gk4z50XX0Y7

Human adenosine deaminase type 2 deficiency (#DADA2) is a rare autoinflammatory condition that results from mutations in the ADA2 gene. In this Research Letter, Isabelle Meyts @IsabelleMeyts & team @KU_Leuven report on NK cells from 11 patients with the condition, revealing an altered phenotype and functional impairment: jci.org/articles/view/…
