Might also add, merchandise options are shit compared to The Matildas. A lot of teams don’t print names on shirts, a couple don’t even readily supply any Ninja A-League branded stuff.

The almost annual discourse about why don’t Matildas fans go to Dub has started, and the answer is always the same. The league doesn’t make it as easy to go to games, they don’t do enough to market the ALW on its own merits & value.

What could be done as a compromise is some form of Copa America-like pathway that could allow OFC nations to participate, especially if AFC wants to expand the comp.
