@adastroworld Oh, yeah, you need years of experience to earn those levels of comp, certainly. But per my other reply, there are lots of ways into tech that don’t involve coding. Good luck!

I think people who aren't in tech or who don't compare salaries have no idea how high compensation can go, especially in competitive markets like the Bay Area
For example, at my previous job I was making ~$550,000 / year in total compensation (including liquid equity)

@adastroworld @bellemorte1979 I say that to encourage people who are not CS or EE grads, who do not code, to consider tech. The industry benefits from people with different backgrounds and has lots of different functions/job opps. Not all tech is coding.

@adastroworld @bellemorte1979 Respectfully, IME this is inaccurate. Product Mgt, solution architects, product marketing & likely other *non coding* roles regularly exceed that in total comp, and after more time in salary... in FAANG, similar cos, or well funded startups. + sales jobs if you hit #s
