Two important considerations drove us to establish a No-LPG kitchen as early as 2009—an approach that appears even more relevant today, especially during periods of oil crisis. The first was how to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and move towards renewable sources of energy. The second was how to reduce our dependence on other countries for our energy needs. I am proud to say that today our mega kitchens save nearly 120 LPG cylinders every single day. Even more satisfying is the fact that the fuel we use at @adamya_chetana is generated from waste materials.

Can’t believe this Sunday marks the 532nd Green Sunday. This incredible journey of more than 10 years has been built week after week with growing energy and enthusiasm. Ananth Kumar ji’s resolve to pursue initiatives in a nirantara (continuous) manner, the vibrant energy of youngsters who join us, the patience and dedication of our women volunteers, and the strength and unwavering support of our men volunteers have all been pillars of this journey. Many such forces together have kept this movement alive and growing. (As always, the poster features the photograph from the previous week’s drive — this time from the 531st Green Sunday.)

@Tej_AnanthKumar @RSSorg Dear Ma'am, just wanted to ask if your organization is providing eggs to the school children in schools that you supply mid day meals to. Your initial refusal to supply eggs resulted in loss to the students, how do you plan to compensate that.
