@LitrePeter @Grimknightt @_AJForever101 He has defeated Cass tho. And you say that as if Cass is a slouch, when she’s easily Super soldier tier too, and one of Dc’s best unarmed fighters.

@Thewalk95942799 @SomeAssHat666 But, he's always been just as capable as any other hero, just through different means, that being intelligence. He's not the underdog, he never has been. He's the character that reminds us of our inner strength, who does the seemingly impossible to remind us anything is possible.

@SomeAssHat666 What modern Batman fans never see lm to understand is the appeal of Batman is that he’s NOT as powerful as the other Justice Leaguers, but he’s just as heroic. He can save the day but he can’t do it the same way, or else he’s no longer the relatable underdog. Go back to the (1/2)

@DoctorDoom256 @Gothams_Kitchen @SomeAssHat666 @Cranberryscause Year one Bruce was splitting trees with kicks, and later in his career managed to lift parts of buildings. He’s flipped cars, held helicopters in place etc etc. There’s not much strength feats cap has that Batman doesn’t also have.

@JokesGames @KathAntonio7 @SomeAssHat666 @Gothams_Kitchen He has always been considered one of the two greatest hero’s on earth even among Superhuman hero’s, and has always fought cosmic & supernatural threats. Even back in the 40’s before the JL was a thing. He wasn’t “born grounded” he was born fantastical.

@SomeAssHat666 This was also on his second year of Crime fighting. Since then, he would’ve naturally improved his Tech & physical aptitude. Humans in Dc have always had a far greater technological & physical capacity than people Irl.

@hrguerra Yeah, I not saying Denny approved of Batman being connected, but he did understand the importance of it to the character and fans. Of course he wouldn’t approve of the Moonfall, but he knew characters had to evolve. Which is what Batman did.

Envinyatar, EMMISARY OF THE ÑOLDOR
Did he, though? O’Neil was one of the best Batman writers of all time, but he was very protective of the way he perceived the character and Grant Morrison basically said he was the main obstacle to doing JLA. It’s safe to say the Moonfall is not something he would’ve allowed.
T@Tevious3

@AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin Yea, but O’Neil also understood Batman belonged with the wider Dc universe. He understood Batman is a product of the Dc universe and that he’ll always operate at the peak of what humans are capable of in Dc relative to the time. Physically and technologically.

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin So to you, every character with advanced tech needs to be in an Iron-man suit 24/7. Got it. He still has limits & flaws. You want a character stuck in the 80’s under one genre and one type of story. That isn’t Batman. Never has been and never will be.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin Well no we ask for consistency and he’s not consistent especially when he’s written at the detriment of other characters. Batman is well liked because of his limitations and having flaws. It’s why his villains are iconic as well all being quirky and determined like him.

You’d genuinely just have to believe Batman is consistently poorly written bc he’s consistently done things of this caliber, this guy’s walking around with near darkseid level energy absorption in his cape and you think it’s far fetched for him to use his intellect and gear to survive a free fall from space

Listen chud That moment from Zdarsky's run is just bad writing, it's not epic, it doesn't show how resourceful and smart Batman is, it's just bad writing

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin No, you’re just narrow viewed. The end game for advanced tech isn’t Ironman armor. As much as you want Batman to be static, forever stuck in the 80’s, there’s so much more to the character than that. I enjoy all sides of Batman. Because I actually like Batman, as he is and was.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin Well no it’s because it’s inconsistent. He’s not supposed to have that or at least to that capability. His gear and the way he gets around would change. You can’t say keep the basics but change everything else just because you want him on the JLA that badly

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin Just not true. Changing his gear doesn’t change the man, as evident with Morrison, Snyder and even Matt fractions runs, which show diverse sets of gear on the regular. My point stands, he’s always had gear beyond that of simply advanced detective gear.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin My guy he still swings on a rope and grapple gun his main gear has been consistent since the 40’s with Batarangs, gas pellet etc. it’s why his core design hasn’t changed because changing his power set and gear would essentially change him. You guys can’t stand that fact

@ParappatheAba @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin He engages them differently. Different types of challenges for different foes. I think he’s been doing just fine, “can’t fit” is an extreme stretch.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin The eternal problem with this is that he can't fit on the JL *and* his solo books. It gets a bit more silly that he's simultaneously written as Batgod with the justice league but struggles/is challenged by his bottom tier rogues gallery (power-wise) in his solo books

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin The simple answer to the silly question of “why doesn’t he just walk around in iron-man armor?” Is simply, it’s not his style. Just as it isn’t the style of multiple other tech based hero’s. And evidently, his armor is advanced enough.

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin No, it wasn’t supposed to be that advanced in the 80’s & 90’s. It’s not the 90’s anymore. Batman has always had more than just detective gear, he always will. You don’t dictate these things. Plenty of great stories exist outside this strict frame you’re putting Batman in….

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin And that’s precisely what has happened, his technology improved as did Dc’s. He was standing next to gods during and before Denny’s reign. These things don’t “ruin” the character, they’re a major facet of him. And that’s not a problem, plenty of writers have shown as much.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin The changing world means technology and modern worldwide elements. Batman villains and capabilities have always shown that. It’s when they made him OP and capable to stand next to aliens, gods and JLA threats and walk off a blast point blank from atomic skull that’s a problem

@THEBATMAN2028 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin And in that quote he says the characters have to evolve, and react to the changing world. Becoming more capable is precisely that. Batman defined the Dcu alongside Superman & Others. He’s supposed to be connected. You don’t dictate what or where he’s “Supposed” to be.

@Tevious3 @AsgerBugge @kr1shnaaustin He literally said changing the character too much is not healthy nor good to the iconography of the character. Putting Batman in these situations ruins him and that’s why he’s not supposed to be connected to the wider DCU. It’s the greed and laziness of the writers that do that

@kr1shnaaustin This only exists as a result of Morrison doing batgod. It only exists to justify Batman being on a team where he doesn't fit. It is piss poor writing that simply doesn't get the character to have him just have superpowers

@DynamoSuperX I kinda hate moments like these. No human would crash land like that and get up like nothing happen. Realistically he shouldn’t even be able to walk. Sometimes Batgod goes too far. I really dislike the concept of Batman beats anything with prep.

@sejiboi @terrificprodigy Clark and Omniman are not the same. Bruce is more than capable of reacting to and evading Nolan. He can also use certain spells which would likely end the fight outright, and his Seismic gauntlets, which were made to harm Superman level threats, could also end the fight.

@Tevious3 @terrificprodigy Plenty of ways to stall him like what? Name one viable way Batman can stall Nolan in a chance encounter before he gets his suit? We saw him against Superman in a chance encounter and Clark just didn’t wanna pack him up👍🏾
