Did he, though? O’Neil was one of the best Batman writers of all time, but he was very protective of the way he perceived the character and Grant Morrison basically said he was the main obstacle to doing JLA.
It’s safe to say the Moonfall is not something he would’ve allowed.

My point stands, he’s always had gear beyond that of simply advanced detective gear.

@sejiboi @terrificprodigy Clark and Omniman are not the same. Bruce is more than capable of reacting to and evading Nolan. He can also use certain spells which would likely end the fight outright, and his Seismic gauntlets, which were made to harm Superman level threats, could also end the fight.
