Game Pass Ultimate has become too expensive for too many players. Starting today, we’re dropping the price from $29.99 to $22.99/month. Future Call of Duty titles will no longer join Game Pass Ultimate on day one. They will join this tier the following holiday after launch (about a year later). They won’t, that’s why it would be timed. They didn’t show any sign of competition for the last years, of course. I’m only talking about what we’re seeing right now, a lot of changes usually indicate shifts in strategy, so we’ll see. Just so you know, I want to be optimistic but I’m not, not after everything that’s happened this generation.

@YorchTorchGames Yes, but they have loads of money to pay anyone to do it for them. That’s how it usually goes with big companies.

Microsoft paid $7.5 Billion for Bethesda. But it doesn't have the engineering know-how to remaster Fallout New Vegas and has "no idea how to reassemble" its source code. The lesson? Mastery isn’t transferable through an acquisition. It’s built or it’s gone.

Now that you’ve taken it too far, listen to this. If you think that people like me focus on one specific platform/console and not on the betterment of gaming in general, then you need help. To call people “losers” for any reason, it’s demeaning and disrespectful. What we normal gamers out there root for, is respect from companies. Respect for where we spend our time and our money. Xbox has messed up a lot because of corporate pressure and absurd financial goals set by people that obvisouly didn’t know how the industry works. On the other hand, I haven’t seen even a little effort from PlayStation to push things forward for many years now. Having one big budget exclusive game every 6-months or in a year, can tell you a lot about its current state. Failed live service games have diminished its momentum and there’s also no clear path to what direction things will take moving forward. The industry in general is in bad shape, and there’s no reason to be calling names or hating on anyone. We want better games, better services, better options, that’s all.

Unfortunately for you Xbox losers, Microsoft is legally obliged to bring Call of duty to PlayStation day one with full feature parity for the next 10 years at the very least. You will never have exclusives on Xbox, you will always be lesser than everyone else. Cry.

Microsoft just lowered Game Pass prices while quietly removing Call of Duty Day One launches. They're charging you less for a worse product and calling it 'a response to feedback'. Don't fall for the trap. It's a downgrade disguised as marketing.

Until yesterday, Cod was supposed to be day one on game pass. Plans change, Asha said it herself. About the legality of things, if they focus on being competitive, they could find a way. Again, never take anything for granted in the corporate world. And yes if they don’t change the current strategy, there will be no point in getting an Xbox console over other consoles (looking at PS5).
