The Trump administration on Friday announced a sweeping policy designed to make it harder for immigrants already in the U.S. to get permanent residency, or a green card. Officials said they would eliminate the option for many immigrants seeking a green card to complete the process without having to leave the U.S. Instead, in most cases, those immigrants will be required to return to their home countries in order to apply for an immigrant visa overseas through an American consulate. I saw chaos inside and outside of the ICE detention center Delaney Hall today. Detainees protesting the lack of due process, the disgusting food and poor treatment while their families and advocates stood outside calling for help. Instead of engaging with me and others about the poor conditions, ICE sent in an armored vehicle and a line of armed agents that only poured gasoline on the fire. Civilians were tackled and restrained, and agents fired pepper balls and spray into the crowd. This is more of the same lawlessness we’ve seen elsewhere around the country.
Our country deserves accountability. Our country deserves the humane treatment of every person here. In fact, our Constitution demands this. What I witnessed and experienced today was shameful. Delaney Hall is a failure; it’s this administration’s failure. The only way to make this right for our communities is to shut it down and make sure the failures we’ve seen never happen again.

Summary: For over two years, a man lingered naked in the women’s locker room at the Stonestown YMCA for hours at a time, up to six days a week, in front of women and young children. When women asked him to cover up, he became belligerent.
Women tried everything: multiple meetings with management, a petition signed by more than 100 gym members, protests, and police reports. Still, YMCA management refused to admit there was even a problem.
Now, finally, Stonestown YMCA has posted new restrictive locker-room rules:
“Nudity should be discreet, limited, and brief…”
And suddenly, the man is nowhere to be seen.
No other Bay Area YMCA appears to have these rules. This policy is targeted purely at the women of Stonestown, who are now being subjected to strange new restrictions because the state of California protects a man’s right to expose himself in the women’s locker room instead of protecting women and children.
Women complained about a naked man in their locker room.
The YMCA responded by policing women.

“I’m here for my money and my free house. It’s my dream.” Notice the entitlement. MY money and MY free house. So this is your reminder that mass immigration at this scale is impossible without heavy government funding. They are not coming to the West to work. They are coming for the subsidized lifestyle you pay for. Their net contribution is not zero, it is negative. This would never have happened at this level without a massive public trough funding it. Your tax dollars are the incentive. You work hard, the government takes your money, and funnels it to them. You are funding this reality. Take it up with your government. They are the ones confiscating your earnings to incentivize mass immigration.
