@EsotericCD No need for retrospect, Israel has been doing this for the whole war. It was clear this was a very high risk and could extend the conflict significantly. Iran knows it can close the strait at will to pull on the US's leash who in turn will pull on Israel's.

In retrospect, it seems kind of self-defeatingly stupid to negotiate a MOU that depends on your ally - whom you do not really control in any way - agreeing to simply not defend itself anymore.
