Notice: The lock is out of operation due to a hydraulic fault, with no passage in or out. Environment Agency engineers are in attendance to carry out repairs. Updates will be given when available. Vessels are advised to contact the Lock Tower on VHF Channel 12 or 01752 204732.

The Sutton Harbour footbridge and Lock will be closed to pedestrians and marine vessels from 6pm on Christmas Eve until 8am on Boxing Day. This is so our Lock team have a break for Christmas. Thank you for your understanding, and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

There will be no freeflow periods in Sutton Harbour between 0700 & 1700 on April 19, 20, 21, 22 owing to harbour maintenance. Vessels can lock in and out of Sutton Lock as normal so disruption should be minimal, and the pedestrian footbridge is not affected.
