We are grateful to partner with METRO Global Solution Center IN for a meaningful CSR initiative at Zilla Parishad School, Supe (Saswad), Pune. 🌻 Together, we worked towards creating a more engaging learning environment for students through a STEM Lab, a “Book Mitra” library with 320+ books, and solar panels to support sustainable infrastructure. What made the day truly special was the enthusiasm of the METRO GSC volunteers who brought the school walls to life with colours and spent time engaging with the children through creative activities. Partnerships like these show how collaboration between corporates and social organizations can meaningfully strengthen public education and inspire young learners. It’s always encouraging to see government schools receiving recognition for the work happening on the ground. 🌻 Recently, 28 Zilla Parishad schools in Pune district received the A+ grade under SQAAF external evaluation, which assesses schools on parameters like learning environment, infrastructure, and overall educational quality. Among these schools is ZP School Baur (Maval) - a school we have been closely working with. Over the past year, with the support of @sandvikcoromantindia, we were able to renovate the school’s facilities and set up a Library, Sports facility, STEM and Computer Lab to support hands-on learning and digital access for students. While this recognition belongs to the school leadership, teachers, and students, it is also a reminder that when schools, communities, and partners work together, meaningful change becomes possible. Strengthening Reading Culture in Tribal Maharashtra 🌻 In the remote mountain regions of Jawhar (Palghar district) - where connectivity is low and resources are limited - Thinksharp Foundation with CSR support of ONGC ltd. in collaboration with local partners, setup Library Kits to 40 ZP schools. These are predominantly tribal communities, where access to books is scarce. Through this initiative, students are now getting an opportunity to build reading habits, curiosity, and critical thinking from an early age. This effort is part of our commitment to supporting rural and difficult-to-reach geographies, ensuring that every child - regardless of location - has access to learning that inspires.
