My contribution to the dog discourse is that it's rude to ask a dogless person if you can bring your dog to their home. They know what dogs are. If they wanted a dog in their home, they would own a dog. They don't own a dog because they don't want a dog in their home.

And non-bikers off the bike paths. I agree cyclists are urban nuisances, but pedestrian adults should stay off the dedicated bike paths in our park systems. Years ago, as a teen, I was on a designated bike path in a public park. Adult walkers a joggers were rendering them unusable for the kids. Worst accident I ever had was when I came around a corner to leave the bike path and reenter the main area of the park, a woman had parked a stroller in the path and walked away. I swerved to avoid striking the baby and turned my tire into one of the parking blocks on the lot near the entrance to the bike path. I flew head over handlebars and struck the pavement hard on my back and for a few minutes struggled to breath. The Mom grabbed the stroller and ran leaving me there. No cell phones in those days. I walked 3 miles home carrying a wrecked bike.
