A stressful thing about having young children in NYC was having to constantly tell dog-owners that the “no dogs” sign on the toddler playground really meant just that. The weird cognitive dissonance of it (“yes but this is MY dog”) was a thing to behold

And non-bikers off the bike paths. I agree cyclists are urban nuisances, but pedestrian adults should stay off the dedicated bike paths in our park systems.
Years ago, as a teen, I was on a designated bike path in a public park. Adult walkers a joggers were rendering them unusable for the kids.
Worst accident I ever had was when I came around a corner to leave the bike path and reenter the main area of the park, a woman had parked a stroller in the path and walked away.
I swerved to avoid striking the baby and turned my tire into one of the parking blocks on the lot near the entrance to the bike path. I flew head over handlebars and struck the pavement hard on my back and for a few minutes struggled to breath.
The Mom grabbed the stroller and ran leaving me there. No cell phones in those days. I walked 3 miles home carrying a wrecked bike.

this is a very low n of course, but goodness mRNA vaccine for pancreatic cancer is a perfect research application - pancreatic cancer highly aggressive with very low 5-year survival. To have even 7/8 surviving 6y is incredible, and highly statistically significant (p<0.001)

btw I am not "anti-Israel." I'm not an "anti-Zionist," depending on how we're defining the word Zionist (I am like many normie liberals against the settlements, the occupation, and the brutalization of Palestinians, but supportive of a democratic Jewish state). I am a boring-ass two state solution person who thinks both Israelis and Palestinians would be best served by each group coexisting in side-by-side countries. Palestinians are incredibly ill-served by the murderous tyrants of Hamas (to put it very mildly). BioNTech mRNA neoantigen vaccine: nearly all responders still alive at 6 years. 98% of induced T cells were de novo — the immune system learned to see a cancer it had always been blind to. 2. Daraxonrasib: 47% ORR, 92% disease control as first-line monotherapy. KRAS G12D, undruggable for 40 years, finally has a drug. Different mechanisms. Same disease.
