One of the most disturbing narratives in play regarding the Maccabi Tel Aviv - Aston Villa situation is the suggestion that the 'real threat' is the Muslim community of Birmingham and that the issue is the safety of Jews in a 'Muslim area'. This is feeding all kinds of extreme and fascist narratives about immigration, islamophobia and racism towards non-white communities. In reality of course the census figures from 2021 revealed that Birmingham residents identify as Christian (34%), Muslim (29.9%), No religion (24.1%), Sikh (2.9%), Hindu (1.9%), Religion not stated (6.1%) and so on. The majority of the city of Birmingham is non-Muslim, and while it may be true that 'White British' is now below 50% in Birmingham, this is because there is a mixture of different communities most of whom are not Muslim. The overwhelming majority of the population in the city are British-born (73.3%). So please stop with all these nonsense hate-filled claims that over 50% of the city are Muslim immigrants that pose a threat to Jews and Christians in the UK. It is complete bullshit and totally racist.

So it appears Villa did not have a Jewish Supporters' Group, so (non Jewish) Israel propagandist @Mr_Andrew_Fox invented one, appointed himself as 'Honorary President' then got himself on Sky News. Can any Villa fans confirm the existence of this group before yesterday?
