We just released new Timber w a security fix for the #WordPress plugin and the Composer versions (both 1.x + 2.x). Please update as soon as you can! The fixed vulnerability only appears only on PHP 7.4 or lower. Check the release notes for more details: github.com/timber/timber/…

I finally set up @vite_js with @TimberWP and my new front-end framework piecesjs, based on native web components with dynamic imports for JS and CSS. Such a satisfying day 😍

When most layoffs happened, I was lucky enough not to be a part of them. Sadly, it has changed recently, and there is a huge chance I will be looking for a new job. I'm looking for one of the following: DevRel Role - I have a developer background, but I know how to talk with others. Also, I like Star Wars and Lego, which are perfect conversation starters at any event. Project management - While being a senior developer, very often, I also managed the technical part of the project. I'm not afraid of doing this again. Of course, I'm also open to something hybrid between tech and non-tech. Why me? 👉I have a solid technical background in web development, and I still love spending my time coding stuff. I have roots in the PHP and #WordPress worlds, but I'm keeping up with the trends. 👉I'm a firm Open Source believer. 👉I enjoy talking with others, unlike many developers. 👉I love public speaking - my most significant achievement was speaking at WordCamp Europe in Porto. But for sure, it's not my final word. 👉I enjoy writing about tech - you can find the effects on my blog. 👉Doing demos and webinars - it's also my thing. @Rvaneyken We get it! The WordPress admins asked us to phase out that version to comply w/ their current standards. An older version will remain for those looking to get quickly off the ground even as Composer becomes the official method. Hope that helps!

@TimberWP Why, just why... why force people into such things as dependency managers? Seems like something of a leap for about 90% of WordPress developers... I've long wanted to give Timber a serious try, but if this is the way forward, then I'm out... I'm sorry...

While WP doesn't have a templating engine it's extensible enough, that we can use either Blade (via @rootswp Sage) or Twig (via @TimberWP). Personally I think that using templating engines makes the process easier. And I'm not the only one - @przemekhernik wrote this great article about this tentyp.dev/blog/wordpress…
