@Opendata30 Supported it's partner @ToroDev30 to facilitate city officials from @FortPortalCity1 and @jinjacity who attended #DataFestAfrica2025 organised by @PollicyOrg. These presented about the data use achievements in their respective cities under the @DataCitiesUg program.

ToroDev held a two days training of the @jinjacity VHTs on how to use #SafiSiti App. the newly invented digital waste management system to register all waste collection points in the city. Waste collectors will use this app to easily locate these collection points and pick it.

Day2 of @FortPortalCity1's Statistical Strategy Co-Creation workshop began with a recap of Day1 where members mentioned the insights relating to Data Governance and the statistical plan being developed. Members made group discussions to brainstorm the City's Vision and Mission.

Co-Creation of the @FortPortalCity1's 5 year Data/Statistics Strategic Plan Workshop held at mountains of the moon hotel. Day 1 focused on Data Governance in Uganda and Its Relevance to Fort portal City and group discussions to assess the current statistical system's situation.

The general impact of the current project phase is aimed at making "Cities with Inclusive & Balanced Urban Data Systems for evidence Informed Policy outcomes and improved Service delivery" in the pilot cities of @FortPortalCity1 and @jinjacity.

ToroDev together with it's @DataCitiesUg consortium members are having a two days planning retreat held at Kolping Hotel in Masindi. The retreat has a number of team building activities that enhance understanding of the current project phase and better planning.
