Residential trash pickup will resume on Monday, February 2. For two weeks, you may place extra bags at no cost. Keep extra bags 3 to 5 feet from containers for automated collection. Crews are already collecting tree limbs in flat neighborhoods. There is no rush; we will continue going through neighborhoods until everything is collected. Please put your safety first. When safe to do so, please allow 5 feet of clearance between brush and garbage containers, and keep brush away from mailboxes, fences, walls, water meters, utility boxes, and parked cars. We kindly ask that you do not place brush under low branches or power lines, as well. After major storms, the City suspends its usual excess brush policy. We appreciate your patience as our crews address the aftermath of the recent winter storms.

@TrafficJamSam main roads my family to back to hermitage from a hotel in lebanon were basically fine although lots of broke trees to the sides - driveway and the road on my street off the main road still pretty frozen over though

@TrafficJamSam A lot of downed trees still blocking lanes on roads like Franklin Rd and Granny White.

@TrafficJamSam Well…Cool Springs roads are good. Parking lots and shaded areas can still be sketchy. I honestly haven’t been anywhere else since Friday.

@TrafficJamSam @NashSevereWx Update: it took him 6 1/2 hours to make what is normally a 3 hour drive. He did stop a couple of times for food and fuel though. I-40 is a mess.
