@lsv I'd actually quibble a bit on this more than the rankings: resource systems might not be so easily ranked independently from their game engine. E.g. I think Flesh and Blood's could not work any other way, and is in such a unique space that it'd be hard to say it's worse for it.
English

This isn’t a ranking of the games themselves (though Magic is still #1), but their resource systems, which obviously have a big impact.

@LinkofSunshine It's crazy how often these things demonstrate that bigotry actually induces illiteracy

@elduuuui Oh my god @Trunkulent I have made a terrible connection that my brain apparently didn't want me to make for all these years...

@catwthewires It'd basically be anything that's included in this:
irs.gov/publications/p…
English

@Trunkulent hmmm. fair. thank you. i need to figure out what’s covered so i can properly calculate
English

@catwthewires FSAs are pretty great 'cuz you get to reduce income tax *and* medicare/ss tax, which saves on everything, down to the state level. One thing that's somewhat strange, though, is that it doesn't include insurance premiums, but most everything else will work.
English

@catwthewires Honestly, I'd say you want to contribute about the full amount allowed if it is close to your expected costs, but if the expected costs are a bit lower, you can probably safely choose that and re-cover whatever's left at year end.

@MinModulation Perhaps it would help if the Action Writing was actually clear and expressive instead of feeling like filler manifest
English

@MinModulation I don't mind doses of action when it sets the right mood and pacing, it'd have to be compared to the surrounding parts, but admittedly I blurred reading most of this and only perked up in the middle bit where *something* that invests you and is personal (the wizard bit) pops up.
English

Modern writing pushes for snappy, punchy, and *action-oriented* external text, as if drafting a future film adaptation.
Words can always be cut out - but the judging criteria should be "Does this fit the Expressive Intention?", not "Is this a Minimalistest Delivery of InfoData?"
