I think it's hilarious how perfectly acceptable it has been this entire console generation to track Steam numbers as a measure of a game's success or failure in everything from Starfield to Palworld but they draw the line at Sony's second failed live service attempt in 2 years 🤔

@Arrrrash As a casual lv39 with most factions at lv10 or above I'm just taking a break to give other games their shot. ARC just had a new update as well and I also decompress with single player RPGs, etc. like dispatch and horizon forbidden west. I never did get around to the epilogue dlc

@GuapoGary_ Destiny had them. I believe runner crews and in game party up is coming. Unless they are literally going to put less features in this game than they did in their older title

Marathon needs something like clans. I feel like one of the hardest things about the game is just finding people to play with 😭

I have a question for the business experts on this app. If Bungie is on life support and Sony is pushing them to claw back the money they apparently lost, how come we don’t have another Eververse situation on our hands? There are virtually no micro-transactions at all, we get one bundle a week and it costs what, £10? Hardly breaking the bank. I mean, I wish they would add more skins to buy, especially with the aesthetic being a huge part of why people love this game. They just aren’t pushing micro-transactions on this game at all, weird for a company apparently heavily in the Red and at risk of liquidation. There are currently 8 bundles that you can buy in the store and 1 standard battle pass, no “black cell” equivalent or option to purchase tier skips. Funny 🧍‍♂️I figured if they were in the Red the way people keep saying they are, they’d actually monetise things? And this is just launch content, thinking long term, they’ll only add more skins, more battle passes, you see actual business experts think about the long term, that’s why they work at Sony and Bungie respectively. 1.2 Million copies sold, that doesn’t entail whether it is standard edition, deluxe edition, or collectors edition, so once again the sales revenue numbers won’t be accurate, if any of the numbers were to begin with. Also, for Bungie to of apparently banked their entire company on developing Marathon for the past six years and they’re heavily in the red, the game is oddly cheap, £40? I mean, if they priced it cheaply because they thought nobody would pay more than that with it being a niche genre, clearly they’re not worried, never expected it to be a massive payout, and have bigger things in development, I.e Destiny 3. The Bungie store is almost always sold out, restocked and sold out again, still waiting on getting the weaveworm plushie but that sells out almost instantly after multiple restocks, which tells you all you need to know, people are buying in troves. This game isn’t going anywhere but go ahead and waste your time staring steam charts all day, I’m at 160 Hours on Marathon and counting. #Marathon

People complaining about the knife in Marathon are the same people complaining about armor in Tarkov. They hate dying to someone less geared, less skilled, with less hours, with a life, and are upset that a mechanic that equalizes the casual and the no-lifer exists. Knife gods rise up.

I'm not convinced this gun exists. Over 100 hours into the game so far and I haven't found one or even been shot by one.

Scheduling: We're taking a crack at splitting up the Cryo and Ranked play windows, and trying to give some flex to week/weekend play with some tradeoffs. This change to the schedule means: - Cryo and Ranked windows won't overlap. - Cryo will start this week on Thursday 3/26 10AM PT and end on Sunday 3/29 10 AM PT. - When Cryo queue closes, Ranked queue will go live Sunday 3/29 10 AM PT. @Kotaku Is not a raid. And it's ok that at this moment is not suitable for people with a life. Week days when there is time, farm gear and credits to be expend on weekends in cryo, when there would be time to run Cryo. It's ok, it's ok to feel the hardness of the game

See I disagree with the statement that Cryo Archive is “not for casuals”. Being a casual player does not = incapable of reaching end game content. It means that they don’t have as much time to grind or put into the game. Cryo is a pinnacle challenge for the game, but I still believe that conquering it should be absolutely doable for the casual gamer. Should it still be difficult? Absolutely. But any player who owns the game should be able to conquer Cryo Archive. It may take them more time than a sweat, but it shouldn’t be unachievable.

I just want that one single mastery challenge to stop bugging out and give me my fucking skin already. The one where you ult a teammate and an enemy at the same time. Have clips of getting it twice.
