If your post was a quote without quotation marks or something, sorry. Iran has been a force for terror and, without hyperbole, evil....for decades. Basically any problem you can name in the region, and many internationally, they have their hand in it. Getting rid of them would be a major win for basically the whole world. I'm not saying it's not risky, or even worth the risk, but it's not a "small prize".

I want to caution the trigger happy Americans that dream about ground operation in Iran. While the American military stays the most potent power in the world, its soldiers aren't immortal and its technology is failing to protect both Hormuz and key allies sites in the region despite the largest in history AD umbrella. There is absolutely no certainty that ameircan tech and firepower will be able to protect your infantry. You have very little tolerance for televised casualties. It's a huge gamble one with very little prize and a a very high risk.
