I don’t know a single person who is “pro war” like Matt is trying to paint everyone who supports the operation in Iran to be. Most people like myself are anti Islamic regime, not pro war. Unfortunately, the only way to deal with the threat of radical Islam at this point is through force. Appeasement hasn’t worked, clearly, and isolationism won’t work either. If we don’t stop them now, imagine what would happen if the democrats ever took power again? You think a nuclear Iran wouldn’t bend us over if they knew our president was afraid of being labeled islamaphobic? You wanna become the UK? Trump did promise no new wars, but he also promised peace through strength, and that Iran would never have a nuclear weapon. If he had to break one of those promises, I’m glad he chose the latter. Trump made the same choice our founders made in the Barbary wars, when the threat of Islam became recognized in this country about a decade after we declared our independence. An injured owl found on a busy three-lane roadway in Stevenson Ranch was rescued overnight after @CHP_Newhall officers stepped in to remove the animal from danger. The owl was discovered shortly after 10 p.m. on The Old Road, just north of Stevenson Ranch Parkway. According to authorities, the injured bird was lying in the left lane of traffic when officers arrived at the scene. CHP officers safely stopped traffic and took the owl into custody, removing it from the roadway to prevent further injury and reduce the risk of a traffic collision. The extent of the owl’s injuries and what led to the incident were not immediately known. The animal is expected to be evaluated and cared for by wildlife professionals.

When they allowed for all the mass protests—during a global pandemic that they defined (with all the restrictions therein)—that was when I stopped caring what they had to say about public health. Also, with the censoring of anything related to the lab leak, etc., to protect Fauci et al (and still no accountability). It soon became clear to me they were milking covid for political purposes.

A question for everyone: survey data suggests that by the end of the Covid-19 emergency trust in public health institutions had decreased significantly. If you are among the people who reacted that way, why specifically? I'm hoping for long, diverse, individualized answers.

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.
