@JaredSleeper This has been _the_ discussion topic for our PE x SW team lately and what it takes to avoid this. One bit has been which way causal arrow runs - is it coincident with market/segment slowdown (in which case cutting to align is the sensible move) or did that cause top line pain.

Curious if anyone has any anecdotes of software/SaaS companies where the "PE playbook" of taking out cost was attempted and led to a striking, surprising-to-the-owners deterioration in topline (like from +5% growth to -10% or something of similar magnitude).
