Overwhelming evidence here & from Wigan that community investment works. What stops us resourcing community & prevention? Power & 💰 lies with “providers” but we know this model is fundamentally flawed. Courageous ICS leadership needed to shift power to people from organisations

Imagine if all ICS & Trusts switched their financial models towards prevention & community investment. Acute hospitals overwhelmed by “demand” is a sign of our systemic failure to do this at scale & pace. Instead of pulling people out of the river let’s try to prevent falling in.

So on Friday I had a heart attack (39yrs) and have been diagnosed with SCADs. @SECAmbulance and @StGeorgesTrust have been just amazing and I am beyond grateful yet again for our glorious #NHS we must protect it and the amazing people who work for it with everything we’ve got x
