@Rainmaker1973 MAGIC TRICK ! Now robots are showing their capability by using illusion & magic tricks. This is very easy for any industrial arm without any AI. You can manually move the arms between the glass, record & replay. they will keep doing this till you need.

Software Engineering Expectations for 2026 - The majority of your code should be written by AI now - Cursor/Codex/Claude Code/Gemini/etc - You should try all the tooling and switch between them, as each one gets an edge over the others depending on the release cycle. - You should be using AI to check the code that is written by AI - Have AI write tests - Have AI read logs - Have AI navigate your browser - I don't do this every time because sometimes it's simple enough to check it myself - You should still skim code changes - This can be a lighter skim on internal tools and a heavier read through on customer facing code - Use AI to help you define specs

@atifatpl Manus AI benefited from an early hype & coverage it got from AI Influencers. Its product was not as per expectations. it hardly had any advantages compared to deep research, AI coding assistants & Nano banana pro. It appears to be talent acquahire.

AI is no longer a technology problem. It is an execution problem, and most companies are not ready. By the end of the year, that story collapsed. Meta did not spend $2.5B on Manus because of a demo. It bought a team that could turn AI agents into real enterprise workflows and then push them through WhatsApp and Instagram. Distribution won. At the same time, Elon Musk’s XAI was not talking features at all. It was buying power, land, and chips. Multi-gigawatt compute is now the real moat. Intelligence has become an infrastructure problem. Then came a quiet shocker: OpenAI is paying an average of $1.5M per employee in stock. That is not generosity. It is the cost of concentrating rare talent at scale, even if it means heavy dilution. Investors noticed something else. The biggest winners were not AI apps or cloud giants. They were storage, power, and fiber companies. The picks and shovels outperformed the gold miners. The deeper lesson is simple. AI progress is still predictable at the technical level. What is no longer predictable is how fast organizations, regulations, and labor markets can adapt. For CTOs and founders going into 2026, the playbook has changed. Build systems, not demos. Design for distribution, not just intelligence. Plan for infrastructure, talent costs, and second-order effects early. The AI era is no longer about who invents the future first. It is about who can operate it at scale.

Meta is investing more in artificial intelligence. This time, the company bought instead of built. Meta agreed to acquire Manus AI in a deal valued above $2 billion, according to reporting tied to people familiar with the transaction. bit.ly/4qxZkl0

while most Chinese apps founded in the early 2000s are derivatives of western ones, 2026 will be the year in which the west emulates Chinese tech companies across AI & robotics. as seen with Manus, DeepSeek, Moonshot AI / Kimi, MiniMax, Agibot etc
Kyle Chan@kyleichan

The Meta-Manus deal is the latest example of what I call “the Great Reversal” where technology no longer just flows from the West to China but now also from China to the West. Will do a High Capacity piece on this and what it means later.

@yishan I wonder what is status of over 100k SAAS startups invested by Visionary VCs before the LLMs . None of their business models work , I suppose most failed or now present themselves as AI startups with hope I will not eat their app.

My AI investment thesis is that every AI application startup is likely to be crushed by rapid expansion of the foundational model providers. App functionality will be added to the foundational models' offerings, because the big players aren't slow incumbents (it is wrong to apply the analogy of "fast startup, slow incumbent" here), they are just big. Far more so than with any other prior new technology, there is a massive and fast-moving wave that obsoletes every new app almost as fast as it can be invented. There is almost no time to build a company and scale it. There are two ways AI application startup founders can make money: - Make a flash-in-the-pan app that generates a ton of cash and bank the cash (my estimate is that you have about 12-18 months cashflow generation) - Make a good enough app that you get acquired by one of the big players for sufficient equity The situation is highly unstable - we don't know if it's going to crash or go to the moon but both scenarios make it very unlikely that any AI application startup will independently become a generational supercompany (baseline odds are low to begin with). The best odds are finding an application niche in a highly specialized field with extremely unique and specific data barriers, ideally ones relating to real atoms (hardware or world-related) data and not software/finance.

@Rainmaker1973 If the social media companies would wire their apps up to require human factors like accelerometer changes indicating actual human use of their phones (key presses can be detected that way) it might help. Or inhumanly fast typing or UI manipulation.

Elon Musk just stole 18 of Mark Zuckerberg's best AI engineers. Zuckerberg offered his engineers $250 million each to stay at Meta. But Elon gave them something money couldn't buy, and they abandoned Meta immediately. Here's the offer that Zuck's own team couldn't resist:

@ia_william FAKE or SCAM: - ChatGPT has nothing to do with this, almost all AI models can do this simple work - Unless you are already popular on youtube, you will get negligible views for such videos. - Most of the claims are presented in a way a scammer do

@s4rah_dev IMPORTANT POINTS: Most of the code generation market has shifted to Coding Assistants from chatbots. Most of the coding assistants recommend Anthropic as No.1 model, and recently Google Gemini 2.5 pro has become No. 2 OpenAI is being sidelined , so new strategy
