The Awards Ceremony is taking place at the Gene Louw Traffic College, Brackenfell.

The Western Cape Mobility Department is celebrating learners who participated in this year’s National Road Safety Debate and Participatory Education Techniques (PET) competition. Learners from Ihlumelo Secondary School, Paarl placed second in the national PET competition.

I participated in a traffic safety operation at the N7 weighbridge with Provincial Mobility MEC @ricardomackenzi. 🚦 Road safety for goods trucks is a priority in order to guarantee that products can reach companies and our port, boosting our economy and creating jobs! 📊🚢

Today in partnership with @geordinhl @RobQuintas @CityofCT we launching our @WCGov_Mobility @CityofCT Public Transport Facilities Safety Team. 💃🏻🏃‍♂️ This dedicated roving team will be deployed to help improve public transport safety!

Minister Simmers: Department's Wheeling Toolkit aims to support municipalities to improve investor confidence, and support Growth for Jobs strategy.

Watch: The Provincial Regulatory Entity is facilitating meetings across the WC to involve key transport stakeholders in the review of Operating Licence Conditions to enhance commuter safety. The Department visited the George Municipality last week as part of the roadshow.

The investment today by @WCGov_Mobility of R 3.5 Million in road safety infrastructure initiatives will help learners that are visually impaired to get to school safely.

Handed over R 3.5 Million to start improving mobility infrastructure around Pioneer School for Visually impaired in Worcester. This area (Worcester) has the highest concentration for Visually Impaired persons in the country and we working hard to make roads safer for everyone.
