It would be very helpful to replace ALL the cones and return the active travel lanes to what they were at the end of lockdown.
Gaps, caused by vandalism and theft, in the protected provision deters wannabe cyclists.

A56 cones update: The cones were removed overnight as part of a systematic theft - they were not removed by the council. This has been reported to the police and we’ll be working with the police going forward on this matter.

Local Cllrs work really hard to improve active travel measures. At times seems an hard up hill task, even for them.
This route could be great link to/from Chorlton cycle way.

Managed to also get a sneak preview today whilst out on the bike 🚴🏻♂️ of the new walking & cycling infrastructure, road surfacing and public realm works on Liverpool Street - looking very impressive!👍 Looking forward to works being completed and this all being fully open. 🚴🏻♀️🚶🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚶♀️

Think I seen an image of a 4 lane road reduced to three with the 'centre' lane used for right turns to ensure traffic flow and 2mtr cycle lanes either side (maybe from @MCRCycleSam)

This could happen along the A56, IF we get Dutch standard cycle lanes along it. @Trafford_Labour @TraffordBlue @TraffordLibDems @traffordgreens If not, then it will just remain a toxic, dangerous, congested deterrent to active travel that’s slowly killing us all. @WalkRideM32

Data from DfT shows that people on bikes outnumbered car drivers on Blackfriars Bridge (Central London) last year. In 2000 the average daily flow was 50,000 cars and 1,125 bikes. In 2020 it was 8900 bikes, and 8800 cars and taxis. A protected cycleway was installed in 2016.
