There's a pavement near me which the tree roots have seriously raised up. One has to step over it. Many councils would consider chopping the tree down. Instead, why not fill the area with bountiful planting and create a pavement bypass. More function and more beauty.

A reminder that Mayor Anne Hidalgo will go down as one of the most consequential mayors of the modern time: a mayor who literally built 600 miles of bike lanes and made hundreds of streets car free in her 12 years as Paris mayor. Bravo.

Friday night's Sportsmans Dinner at Wigan St Judes Rugby Club - in attendance was Labour MP @joshsimonsmp. He was introduced to the audience and was heavily booed and jeered, he was heckled so bad by the attendees that he left after 5 minutes due to the abuse he got.

Today prog has just told us we will hear a tribute to Jenni Murray from Harriet Harman. Might have been better to get someone to pay tribute who actually stuck up for her after she was isolated for her view that men should not be able to identify into women's spaces and sports.
