Hiring at my agency (Emplicit): Looking for someone who’s been living in AI automation tools—Cursor, Claude Code, N8N, Make, Apps Script—and actually shipping. The right person is probably building their own stuff on nights/weekends and needs stable income while it takes off. What you get: ∙All AI tools paid for (use them on your own projects too, we don’t care) ∙Paid to learn. YouTube rabbit holes on new AI features? That’s work now. ∙2-week sprints on real problems, no bureaucracy ∙Path to leading our AI team in 12 months 20 hrs/week to start. Remote, within a few hours of PST.

My community has $15b of yearly sales on Amazon with 800+ members. These are small businesses. They employ real Americans and support local communities. They do not have large margins to absorb shocks. Every year Amazon squeezes them more and supports overseas Chinese sellers instead of local American businesses. Now Amazon is hitting sellers with even more of a squeeze all back to back: 1.Amazon has moved many sellers to DD+7 Meaning funds are held until 7 days after delivery, not simply paid out on the old cadence. 2.Amazon just added a 3.5% fuel/logistics surcharge on fulfillment fees. 3.To top it off now Amazon Ads charges will be pulled directly from disbursements rather than floating on a credit card. That combination matters. Amazon already forces sellers into an environment where ads dominate visibility. So now the same platform that pressures brands to spend more on ads is also tightening payout timing and pulling more cash out before sellers ever see it. For a very large business, this is just a minor annoyance. But for a small business making payroll just got 50x harder. Less cash on hand means: less inventory more stockouts more debt more strain on small teams and ultimately a worse customer experience This is not “supporting small business.” It is starving the brands that create so much of the value customers come to Amazon for. @WSJ @business @nytimesbusiness @BusinessInsider @ReutersBiz @CNBC @APBusiness If you’re covering Amazon, local communities hit by a hard economy and large companies trying to squeeze hardworking Americans hit me up.

@michaelpatron0 Guarantee ad spend is going to fall by more than they’re paying for cc fees- so many sellers are only spending what they do bc of the float and points

@theisaacmed I’m loving it- we’ve been able to shift from a time & materials billing model to flat rate (or flat rate + %) and then cram so much automation and ai efficiency into that flat rate that it’s a no brainer for our icp

The beautiful thing about having 10x engineers is they 10x vibe code. We built a whole task planning system on top of Google Chat today. Allows us to continue using Google chat to keep all the context within chat & tasks, but then to track it simultaneously using our own Sprint planning system.

I learned at an industry event I went to that everyone is desperate for a positive ai narrative right now. If unemployment goes to 10% you will see riots in the streets. If unemployment goes above 20% you will see worse. I don’t think we will see this level of upheaval We will see new jobs. Don’t underestimate capitalisms ability to find new ways for people to spend money and allocate labor hours

I’m from Washington state. It’s a shithole where I am from. It’s just like the rust belt or Appalachia. It’s a bunch of old machinist jobs kept afloat by Boeing contracts. But Boeing started leaving. And the old machinists couldn’t find work and started abusing opioids. Pills first. Then H. Now fent. In my high school, ten kids died in 4 years. All drugs. More died in car crashes. I think it’s worse than Appalachia- Because at least shit in Appalachia is cheap. For some reason Washington is expensive. Look up the housing prices sometime. 50 minutes outside of Seattle, a 1960s townhouse costs you 600k. It’s the worst state in the country to live in. Horrible weather. Extremely expensive. And now you get taxes too. I left when I turned 18. It was cheaper for me to move to LA than stay. People talk shit on California, but at least the wages match the cost. And you get the weather. And a diverse job market. And the homeless problem is BETTER HERE. Somehow Washington low rolled every single thing on the board. Best of luck, I love the summers though.
Governor Bob Ferguson@GovBobFerguson

The Millionaires’ Tax passed by the House represents historic progress in rebalancing our unfair system. It sends significant dollars back to Washington families and small businesses. It expands the Working Families Tax Credit to 460,000 additional households – that’s money straight back into the pockets of working families. It saves working parents money and ensures our kids are prepared to learn by funding free breakfast and lunch for all Washington K-12 students, which has been a priority of mine since I ran for governor. The Millionaires’ Tax will apply to less than one half of one percent of Washingtonians, but make life more affordable for millions. I look forward to signing it.

What's your use case? What are you trying to do? If you do your development on one machine (i.e. a server) you can run tmux on it..when you connect from the clients you can attach to the existing session.. I do phone -> server and laptop -> server and I can modify the same session from both.

your terminal in 4 upgrades: 1. ghostty — the terminal itself. fast, native, beautiful. finally one worth using. 2. tmux — sessions that survive anything. split panes, detach, come back later like nothing happened. 3. fish — autocomplete that actually works. syntax highlighting. no config needed. 4. starship — a prompt that shows you what matters (git branch, exit codes, env) without slowing you down. use: brew install tmux fish starship + ghostty .org your future self will thank you

@Weiler If I haven't successfully convinced you to try QMD with Obsidian on your local device to get past a lot of this, go try that. It's remarkably efficient.

@Weiler Because I'm guessing there's no vector search, it's just searching through all of this horrible, unoptimized back-and-forth content where 95% of it is irrelevant anyway.

Anyone else feel like software companies are moving slow? Everyone is talking about how fast things are moving but I don't find most SAAS shipping any faster, especially in the DTC space. Would love to be educated why I am wrong or ignorant.
