@noodlebrett @WifiMoneyPlant Exactly! They don’t want to live in small town America because they think there aren’t jobs and it’s too far from “all the good stuff.” Funny thing is, there’s plenty of jobs, a much higher quality of life, less traffic, cleaner atmospheres, better people and still plenty to do.

An entire generation under the age of 30 is coming to realization that having a family and home will never be within the grasp of reality for them Society is not ready for the consequences of this. A generation with no stake in the system would rather watch it burn

@WifiMoneyPlant "We live in an area that's expensive" So move somewhere cheaper? Why are people my age so opposed to picking up and moving to better their situation?

Something that isn't being discussed on the MLB "Pride Night" fiasco with a few San Francisco Giants pitchers: 1. MLB players absolutely have the right to NOT wear "Pride Night" gear. They can wear the regular uniforms instead. Official rules are in the MLBPA (Major League Baseball Player Association). No harm, no foul. 2. However, it is explicitly stated, whether on "Pride Night" or not, that no player can "deface" or write upon any piece of equipment. So, this player isn't being persecuted for writing a bible verse, he's being fined because he defaced a piece of equipment. Same EXACT thing would happen if "BLM" or any "leftist trope" were written on equipment.

I never imagined that we would actually have to watch Order 66 at the end of The Clone Wars, and I somehow still wasn’t fully prepared for how intense it was to watch Ahsoka’s troops turn on her. Captain Rex holding back tears and shaking as his inhibitor chip forces him to comply with Sidious’ command against one of his closest friends was nothing short of heartbreaking. It was at this moment when we realized how tragically inevitable the events of Revenge of the Sith truly were.

What’s your favorite “oh wow they’re actually doing this.” Moment from a movie or tv show.

@XaviGelledHair @Craig_J_85 Well no, it's not just my opinion, the fact he's president is proof a good grifter and conman can achieve anything when the targets are as stupid as it's possible to be.

What I want after this world cup is over. 1. USA to NEVER host a World Cup. 2. Infantino to be booted out. 3. Hydration Breaks to never occur when temperatures are at a certain level. 4. Ticket prices to be capped at a reasonable amount. 5. USA to NEVER host a World Cup.

SCOOP: Top White House officials believe NYT reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan obtained audio recordings of Situation Room meetings for their new book. Such a taped leak would be a shocking breach of one of the most secure settings on Earth. axios.com/2026/06/14/tru…

Algerians doing jigs in Kansas... Brits eating barbecue in Texas... Koreans doing full on kegstands in Mexico... just goes to show that the entire world can be united by the simple concept of getting really drunk and watching a sporting event

I didn’t expect this but Americans are ridiculously good at small talk. In the UK if a stranger starts chatting to you, you immediately assume they want something or want to rob you. Here people are just… nice?

This is …. And I don’t say this lightly…. The single greatest piece of writing I have ever seen in my life The Japanese have discovered unlimited chips & salsa and it’s beautiful
NOBUNAGA🇯🇵🏯_夏樹蒼依@japan_nobunaga

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
