We present A Fresnel Model for Coated Materials at Eurographics this year, where we propose an analytical RGB model for rendering coated conductors. Our method provides improved accuracy of Fresnel reflectance in BRDFs. I'll be presenting this paper Wednesday at 9:00 in Megaron A

@raroni86 @JasperBekkers Ah I should have clarified that in the blog, we indeed multiply the radiance by the triangle surface area to calculate the weight 🙂

@JasperBekkers @_JanKind Thanks for the great blog post, Jan and Jasper. You mention that you use radiance as weights. Have you considered using total triangle power output instead? 🤔 That would also account for triangle size which I suppose point-wise radiance wouldn't.
